• Account Information: Name, email, profile photo — provided via Clerk authentication (Google, Apple, Facebook, LinkedIn, or email).
• Financial Profile: Optional information you provide (income range, risk tolerance, investment goals) used solely to personalize AI coach responses.
• Payment Information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers.
• Usage Data: Course progress, lesson completions, quiz results, AI chat history.
• Device & Log Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps — collected automatically.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To personalize AI educational responses
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send transactional emails (receipt, certificate, progress reminders)
• To detect and prevent fraud
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Service Providers: Clerk (auth), Stripe (payments), Neon (database), Mux (video), Anthropic / OpenAI (AI), Resend (email), Cloudflare R2 (storage), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (rate limiting).
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@lightspeedinvesting.com. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law.

6. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication sessions, analytics, and preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect functionality.

7. AI Features & Data

Messages sent to our AI Study Buddy and Financial Coach features may be transmitted to Anthropic’s API for processing. Financial profile data used to personalize AI responses is only sent when you explicitly interact with the AI coach. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

8. Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link in each email)
• If in the EU/EEA/UK: request data portability, restriction of processing, or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
